My teenager had the same ear symptoms...seemed to be related to allergies (or a cold, not sure, but she definitely had a runny nose, too).
I tried a tip a from a nurse practicioner: Pour about a half-capful of hydrogen peroxide in the ear (while lying on your side). Let it sit for a minute or so, until it stops fizzing. Turn over to drain out on a towel. Repeated twice and it did the trick, which was apparently to clear out the excess wax. I would definitely see a doctor if symptoms came back or there was any pain. |

OP here:
I def plan to go to a dr. I just wanted to see what others though- if there was any sort of consensus. I don't htink it is a bug; we don't have a bug problem. In any event, it's not all the time. I tried the peroxide cleaning, which I've been doing since I was kid. So far, it hasn't helped. Thanks! |
That is so nasty... |
| Ear canal cancer? |
| Op I get the same feeling. On top of that I get swimmers ear really easily. So I was just at the doc, all they could diagnose/see was the swimmers ear. I have taken to cleaning regularly with rubbing alcohol. Good luck. |
| if you had a bug living in your ear, I am sure it would send you screaming like my friend to the ER. But obviously something serious is going on in there that an ENT would be able to see immediately - just go see one!!!!! |
agree had that today, in fact comes and goes - just as my allergy symptoms do |
