Anyone hear from LAMB yet?

It's all so crazy. Since Friday I've been on pins and needles waiting hear from LAMB. Now, I know we didn't get in, but I am stupidly still holding out hope about our number. I can't wait to get home to check the mail. I will be so glad when this is all over.
Just wondering, when about did most of you send in your applications? They had last year's app up online forever and when I called the school to see what was up back in November the woman told me to just submit that one. I did and got a confirmation email. It will be really interesting see where we fall on the waitlist... |

I faxed my app on April 2 and never received a confirmation email.
<sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach> Hoping they received it, but if not, I guess I'll just console myself with the knowledge that a submitted app only just barely gets you better odds of getting in than an unsubmitted one. |

Absolutely, becuase I am quite sure that it is hardly likely, if at all even possible, to get a spot even 5 down on the waiting list anyway! Not only that, I'm not even sure that I believe that the whole "order in which they are received" process is all that sound. I mean, you could turn them in in person and via fax. God knows how else. So, I'm sure at some point those applications were all over the place and not necessarily in the oder in which they were received. |

Just called. It didn't matter when you submitted your application, the waitlist was developed based on a lottery as well.

SERIOUSLY???? This is crazy. I wonder how many applicants they had? We haven't got any places better than 150 for any charters. Most are in the 200s or 300s. And yet some people have several options..... Makes me wonder if there is some money changing hands somewhere.... (not specifically at LAMB, but just in general) |

I wonder what is UP too! We are in the same boat as you are and all these people who got into several schools. Then you have the people who are wondering "Should I do my super awesome in-bounds school, private, or Mundo Verde?" I mean WOW, we would be lucky if we GET spot anywhere! |

We are in the 500's for LAMB. But we have gotten pretty good numbers at 4 popular charters from the 20's to 50's. I promise you no money was involved. We also have no fabulous in-boundary or private option. We just got semi-lucky this year. Still I feel for everyone who basically has no chance with high WL numbers all around. Pretty much sucks... |
