We get these things in our basement. What I especially hate about them is that they move very fast and can easily climb walls and walk on the ceilings.

And if that was the case, OP should have been more supportive.

That was just Alicia Silverfish spitting pre-chewed food in her baby's mouth.

Not the OP, but thanks to the Pp for the tip about the dehumidifier. We were going to get one anyway, but it'll be an added bonus if it cuts down on these bugs.

LOL...OP here. Thanks for the photos. Looks like it was probably a house centipede. We have a dehumidifier in our basement, but I'm thinking we should get one for the main level because those things are so creepy.

They have a little venom but they eat cockroaches, spiders etc they definitely wont hunt you down just to bite you though they keep to themselves.

Haven't seen one in over a year (though now that I said that we'll probably have one tonight). They are the only bugs that make me physically ill. Ugh. Even looking at that picture makes me feel like throwing up. They are so fast and so big. Uhhhhhhhhhh

Did the dehumidifier help get rid of the other bugs too, or did you do something else for them?
