Hunger Games tonight--how early to get to theater to avoid sitting in front row?

OP here. It was great. We got there a half hour early and I wouldn't have wanted to get there any later. We got decent seats but people after us didn't.

On a side note, I cannot believe someone found a way to turn this thread into a snowflake thing. I am cracking up. Is it the considerate thing to arrive at the movie late so you don't steal a seat from someone else who might want it?? Now I've heard everything!

LOL, we went Sunday to a 2:40 show, showed up at 2:10, found 2 seats together mid theater. One couple showed up at 2:45 and was surprised that they ended up sitting separately in the front row.

When we arrived at 2:10 there was already a line for the 3:20 showing.

Actually the polite thing is to buy the tickets but not go at all, so that the other theater patrons will have more seats to choose from, and room to put their jackets. Anything else is SELFISH and SO TYPICAL DC. OP is probably raising her special snowflakes to think they have the right to just show up at a movie anytime and waltz into any seats that are not taken.
