OP again - I am not high risk AND if I was I am sure my point of view would be very different.

My understanding is that the practice is one of the best in the area for high risk patients and that the high level NICU that GT offers is also an important decision for some people.

I was not considered high risk until the day of my delivery (bp shot up to 160+). My son ended up in the NICU for 11 days, with the first 3 1/2 spent at the ECMO station, "just in case." Good bedside manner or not...long waits or quick visits...the GT medical staff did an excellent job throughout the critical hours/days of our delivery and for that, they will always be tops with my family.

I originally didn't mention Wulf, because I felt like she'd received enough negatives in this string, but (like others) I did not like her bedside manner, thought she was way too interventionist for me, and was entirely too focused on telling me that my labor was taking entirely too long - thus I needed a C-section. Everyone has different approaches and I'm not a doc, but I feel like everyone is different and every labor is unique. My baby's vital signs were good and I was fine with laboring naturally until she came along on her own. Wulf just kept pushing interventions (pitocin mainly) that I didn't want and saying a lot of scary things to back up her arguments. All of that said, I ended up with a C-section (which I still have misgivings about), and she did a very good job (at least as far as I can tell - my recovery was fast at least and the scar healed quickly). Good luck to you at Gtown, and again, Colie is absolutely great. I ended up with a very healthy baby and had very good care from the nurses there.

Any idea where Dr. Udwin went? I went to him for many years, but have not been in to the practice for some time.

I heard from one of Dr Udwin's former patients that he left the practice of medicine entirely and went back to doing something IT related.
