What American Freedom Looks Like

Hey! This is AMERICA pal! Love it or leave it!

(Maybe you should move to Afghanistan. Culturally you seem to have a lot in common with them.)

Sorry, it's inappropriate. Wouldn't be appropriate if it were a woman either. In uniform, you are a soldier. Save it for when you're in your civilian clothes. I think he deserves my thanks and respect, definitely, for what he sacrifices in that uniform. But he needs to keep it respectful while in the uniform. Again, I'd feel the same if it either of these people were a woman too.

The only time showing that much emotion in a uniform is acceptable is over a kid.

I don't care if they are gay. I don't like this over the top displays of affection gay or straight. Take it home.

Yes, it's not very American at all, and very inappropriate.

Look, some people (Army wives, or not) are squicked-out by PDA. Others are not. There's no objective "right" level. But let's all be honest here, and realize that the "soo inappropriate" response would be an outlier if this were an opposite-sex couple.

I, too, am tired of servicemembers inappropriately flaunting their sex lives in front of decent folks. There oughtta be a law!

Here are a few more disgusting, inappropriate images for PP to condemn:

Well I stand corrected and apologize. Per code of conduct, homecoming PDA is allowed in uniform. I still think overt displays are creepy, but the above photos (with exception of the kids) are just as yucko.

For sho. These people were being so horridly inappropriate. They didn't even KNOW each other, the promiscuous sluts.

No wonder he keeps going back, with the firm handshake he gets each time he comes home.

Sorry to disagree with the PP as well as 8:38 and 10:51, but even though I disagree with Wife, I don't think it's cool to show that kind of disrespect to a woman who has sacrificed for her country the way she has.

I hope that did not sound too sanctimonious, but I felt it needed saying.

This is 16:33 and 17:04 again...

Yes, you're right 18:07, perhaps I should just dry-hump him on the tarmac. That will keep him home. Klassy.

Probably, but I do not believe she would have said it to a straight couple. I doubt her sincerity.
