I mainly use Polyface, but have also gotten in from Over The Grass Farm in The Plains, VA. OTGF is an amazing farm....give it a visit once and find out what billionaires do for their hobbies in the country. |
| Costco, Safeway and Giant all seem to be mostly factory farmed. Very little organic. Never anything grass-fed, pastured, etc. I'd rather spend more money now and get healthy meats than pay down the road in poor health. |
That's all bullshit. It's better to have fresh meat rather than old boutique meat that has been sitting as long as possible to make the sale. Also make sure you cook your organic meats to well done because farmers will often neglect to treat sick or infected animals to retain organic status. http://www.hcgfatloss.com/hcg-articles/its-not-your-fault-you-are-fat/the-organic-meat-scam.htm s. Studies have found that up to one-third of pigs on some organic farms are suffering from untreated infections, and reports also state that organic pigs often suffer from internal and external parasites, which could be passed on to the people who eat them. |

I buy direct from the farmers. I talk to them about how they treat disease, how they feed their animals and how they slaughter them. I would no more buy old "boutique" meat than I would by from any of the local grocery stores.
Read Michael Pollan. Watch Food Inc. Then tell me if you are willing to eat grocery store meat. Or let your child. |
Get a clue lady, your ignorance is stunning. |
