And who is she? Frankly, I don't understand this at all. Dooce and Kelle Hampton, apparently, are making money off their blogs. But people who 'follow them for years"?? |
If you don't understand, why are you clicking on this post? I'm sure Wikipedia can be of service here. |

It's a trial separation...maybe they'll work it out?
Who knows. Never heard of her until this thread but it's sad for anyone to go through this. |
I stopped reading her too, once she got a big fancy house and all into "design" and being on TV. I just can't relate anymore. |

I hate blogs. I DON'T CARE ABOUT YOUR LIFE. I hate reality tv.
Unfortunately so many love this shit. |
| I am confused about what happened to her HGTV deal. |

13:07 Me, too.
I'm not sure if it's a million a year but her husband hasn't removed a single piece of furniture from their huge house. She seems to be controlling all the shots, and she wanted the separation, not him. |
| Honestly, I always thought she was gay. |
Bipolar Disorder is a disease. Educate yourself. |
That statement is completely incompatible with the fact that you are on DCUM and that you clicked on a post about someone you've neer heard of getting divorced. But go on thinking you are so superior, I'm sure it makes you very popular in real life. |
Funny. I was thinking the exact same thing when I read that post. |
| The whole mom blogger thing kind of troubles me. As a mother, I can't really imagine thinking that it was a good idea to put tons of pictures of and information about my child out on the internet for everyone to see. If a mom or dad wants to live his or her life publicly, that's fine, but it seems wrong to make that choice for a child who has no say in the matter and doesn't have the capacity to make that sort of decision anyway. I wonder how those kids are going to feel about the whole thing when they get older. |
| Actually she got her start by being fired for blogging about her employer. |
| I haven't read her blog in a while; I'll have to catch up on it this weekend. Sad to hear about her marital problems. |
| I am a dooce reader. At her best, she is a great writer, a classic of a new genre. Though I was surprised about the split, I could sort of tell something was up. Over the past few months her writing had become very stilted and a bit frantic, like you could tell she was hiding what was actually going on. She also seemed to be unhealthily obsessed with exercise, to the point of seriously injuring herself. Definitely seemed like trouble brewing. |
