We are all expected to be martyrs like the Santorum's with their Edwards Syndrome (Trisomy 18) child. I am so sick of being preached to by politicians. I picketed 20 years ago. We need to be back out there fighting this stuff. |
I guess most of you couldn't stomach seeing a non living being in your stomach before you abort it. Reap what you sow. |
It's harder to look into the eye of someone and kill them same goes with seeing the unborn baby |
Way to be a sanctimonious goon. Deciding to terminate a pregnancy, no matter the reason or situation, is difficult and painful. Not only did I see my precious baby on ultrasound many, many times before we terminated, I also held her after she was born still and wept and kissed her. I loved her then and love her now.
Living in your world there there is only black and white with no middle ground, no compassion, no understanding -- I think it is you that must "reap what you sow." |
Here is a link to the NARAL petition:

This site is hilarious and reinforces the stereo type that pro choice mean pro abortion NO other options. not once do they mention the right for a woman to choose life, it always says the right to abort. http://www.naralva.org/what-is-choice/ |
It gets even better look at the staff NOT ONE of them have a kid they all have cats, I guess they were too busy aborting http://www.naralva.org/about-us/staff.shtml |
Do you not see the ridiculousness of your statement? No one, and I mean NO ONE, has tried to take away your right to carry a pregnancy, but anti choice bozos don't even want women to have birth control. I bet you believe in the fairyland war on Christians, too. |
Actually, a delegate did try to get something like this introduced, to make a point, but he didn't get much support. I'm just embarrassed for my state. There are so many issues our state legislature really needs to deal with, and instead they focus on stuff like this, which panders to a certain audience without accomplishing anything of note for the state generally. And that's separate from its overt hostility to women. |

HB1 and HB 462 GO TOO FAR! Tell Virginia lawmakers that your body does not belong to the state. Please help Virginians to understand how the rights of women are violated by these bills. Virginia's HB 1 is a "fetal personhood" bill which would grant legal rights to a human fertilized egg. HB 462 is a bill which would require that a trans-vaginal ultrasound, an invasive, medically unnecessary procedure, be performed on any woman wishing to have an abortion. HB 1 has already passed the Virginia State House, and has strong support in the Virginia State Senate, and HB 462 has already passed both the House and Senate. Governor McDonnell has indicated that he would sign this bill into law. If HB 1 becomes law, it could potentially ban commonly used forms of hormonal contraception (the pill, Mirena, etc), stem cell research, assisted reproductive technology like in vitro fertilization, and abortion, even in cases of rape, incest or the endangerment of the life of the mother. HB 462 would require that a a tranvaginal ultrasound be performed on any woman electing to have an abortion, against her consent. |
If we're pregnant, can we drive on HOV lanes? |
That's not the main issue, what if the mother's life is at stake? What if she's going to die in a short order if they don't take out the baby. Is the doctor going to have to get her case "reviewed" by a non-medical "ethics" board? All that time could end up costing 2 lives. |
The bill will also have huge ramifications for infertility treatment and Ivf. Resolve.org has more information on this. If embryos are persons what happens to extra or frozen embryos. Do they all have to implanted at once? what happens if the embryo fails to implant and cook... Is that murder- by who, the doctor, the woman? This is not a joke or something to laugh about. |
I transferred my frozen embryos out of VA. Better safe then sorry. |
advil is an anti-inflammatory. It's been well researched that it delays ovulation for up to a week when taken since ovulation is a very inflammatory process. If a woman has already ovulated, and the egg has been fertilized, advil will often prevent implantation into the uterus (a very inflammatory process that is disrupted/prevented by anti-inflammatories). The fertilized egg then passes out of the woman's body, or I guess otherwise know as murder according to this bill.
So a woman taking advil at certain times of the month are murderers. I guess the makers of advil would also be tried as co-murderers? Would advil need to place large warning on its bottles that their product causes murder? Would the factory workers be liable? Would the state of virginia ban all women from ever taking any of the wide range of drugs that are anti-inflammatories? Despite the huge medical benefit these drugs provide for a wide variety of diseseases? |
