haahha, everyone knows this is true |
Oh yea-- everyone, man. Are you 8? |
No, honey. PTO production quotas are nothing like billing hours at a law firm. |
Wow, why the bitchy response to the PP? If you have to charge a certain number of hours and produce a certain amount or type of work, it's pretty darn similar if you ask me. The amounts required may differ, i.e. the 40hr government work week versus the whatever hours of a big law work week, but the reality is pretty much the same. Time card + Work product = Accepted proof of sufficient work. Signed, Government contractor who has minimum billable hours to meet and also demonstrate certain amount of work product for government client to allow me to telecommute |
I got in at 9:45 and almost everyone was already here. |
I WAH for the government. I've never seen Judge Judy (I don't watch any tv in the day time, whether working or not) and I do not have a Blackberry (the office calls me on my personal home or cell and I call in to check my msgs every hour). In our offices, the attorneys are given projects with due dates. It doesn't matter when or where you conduct the review and draft any accompanying memo, as long as it's done well and completed by the due date. Oh, and if it makes you feel better, I don't make $155k. |
We aren't issued blackberries either. |
FWIW, I am a fed lawyer and I got to work at 9:15 this morning (my usual time). I viewed the delayed opening as a more of a recommendation and so did most of the people in my office. We had only one late arrival. |
Same here. Obviously, it would've been different if our schools had been closed or delayed but since the kids got out of the house on time, so did I! |
The people who are making fun of teleworkers only know how they, themselves would behave if they were working at home. If you are supervising someone who thinks this way, watch them, because they can find ways to goof off in the cube, too. |
Bingo! One correction: there was only one poster making fun of teleworkers. That poster managed to post 6 separate messages between 10:12 and 10:24. Perhaps it's too early for Judge Judy? |
Hey, I'd be willing to watch Judge Judy for $70k a year, half the price quoted earlier! |
