Matching questions: what can i wear with navy or blue?

I usually have navy/ black/ grey/ other neutral pants and match them with colorful tops for work.
Navy and grey together look too dull in my opinion. Ok for grey shoes with navy though.
I prefer nude shoes with navy to black.

Shoes with navy- nude, browns, white, grey, burgundy, or a patterned shoe works.
Purses- don't worry as much. Purses are now more liberally worn. You could ANY color and make it work with navy.
Navy pants- again anything goes. Black might be hard to pull off if you don't have a pattern with some blue in it but pink, creams, rich burgundies, greys, browns, and even other shades of blue are fine.

I love navy with a deep oxblood color shoe for fall and winter, and nude in spring and summer. I do have a great pair of navy shoes that work if the accent color in my outfit is navy.

Didn't realize navy shoes with navy skirt was considered school girlish. This is my go to combo for navy--maybe it depends on the rest of the outfit.

ANYTHING matches navy blue, just like black. Pink, red, yellow, green, peach, orange, gray, even lavender. Go crazy, OP!

As for women, IMHO, you cannot go wrong with black shoes. But you can also wear grey (my fave), burgundy, yellow, fuchsia (if you are bold). Nude-for-you shoes are great in the warmer months, especially with a skirt or dress.

Navy is a neutral and can be paired with just about any color. If you are nervous, start with patterns that have a blue in them.

Disagree that rules for men in America are "rigid.". They're only rigid if you are a rule follower with no imagination.

I love navy with cognac or red. Nude also works well in the summer. To me, navy and gray is too dull, and navy with navy is too matchy-matchy without some other color to brighten the look.
