Funeral 1: Child #1 was about 1 year old, and stayed in church nursery for the service with one parent. Parent closer to the deceased stayed in the church for the service. Whole family attended other events of that day.

Funeral 2: Child #1 was 3 years old, Child #2 was 1 year old. No handy church nursery, but nice weather, so both kids stayed outside the church or in the entry way with one parent. Parent closer to the deceased stayed in the church for the (long!) service. Whole family attended other events of that day, included graveside service.
