What is the main issue with the beach? My kids are major beach bums but they are young so I really need a clean, not crowded beach. Our cousins do the Ritz every year and they are very difficult to please and think it's the best hotel ever. Yes it's urban but after a long flight with kids, they say that the quick ride in the cab makes it worth it.

We went to the PR Ritz last January. We love the distance from the airport (short cab ride), heard no plane noise and loved the beach. We travel to lots of beach resorts and PR Ritz is one of our favorites.

We preferred the beach where the el san juan is because there was more going on in terms of activities and restaurants. having teenagers we may be looking for different things from a beach. the distance between the ritz and the intercontinental/el san juan is 5 minutes. The condado area is about 20 minutes more. We like the condado area better than the area around the ritz because we tend to go out to eat more than staying at the resort.
