I read on this forum somewhere (it may have been the college forum) that it is highly respected by colleges for admission purposes, more so than AP. Although I also heard that for whatever reason, AP courses result in more college credits? Does anyone know?

Colleges like students going for an IB diploma better than students who've only taken a few AP courses for admissions purposes. If the goal is to rack up college credits, stick with AP.

The IB diploma is golden.

Individual AP classes are easier to translate into college credit than individual IB HL (high level) classes, although this "gap" is shrinking and may not even be a problem 10 years from now.
