My husband is 5'7 and about 135 lbs and has a 29" inseam. (Guess who else is the same exact measurements? Me!) Benetton works really well for him (Sisley as well) and he does well at Club Monaco. Banana Republic sometimes has stuff, Jcrew (online only) does have some xsmall stuff as well and their cut is very slim. You want the clothes to be trim but not tight. Fortunately the in thing now is to be thin, and wear slim fitting clothing, so at least it's not the 90's when you really might have needed a tailor!
How does being Asian fit in? There are plenty of non-Asians who fit those measurements, too.
My DH is average height but very slim--he had good luck with the brooks brothers tailored fit shirts, club monaco, and benneton. for cheaper weekend stuff, h&m is good and so is uniqlo (in nyc--like a japanese gap).
It was just descriptive, for the person asking about how Asian fits in. Also it explains why the suit from Japan fits so well--he's built more like a typical Japanese or Asian man--that is to say, shorter and slimmer than the average American male. That's how it fits in. Chillax, people.
Ha ha! Yes, I am shorter and slimmer. And our kids are tiny. Thank you very much for all your suggestions! |
What does being Asian have anything to do with this? Plenty of people are slim and short?
