I live in Lyon Village and we get a ton of ToTers from other neighborhoods. I am happy to give candy to any kid in a costume. And apologies for certain of my neighbors. |

I can see heading to a nearby neighborhood to trick-or-treat if I didn't live in a good area for it. Or going to another neighborhood with friends who live there. But I don't get just randomly picking some other neighborhood with no connection.
Guess I'm a Halloween grinch? |
+1 - me too, I think it's ridiculous. |
+2. I really can't imagine doing this. |
Yes, you are a halloween grinch. |
Guys I was the one who asked the original question about lyon village . We live there moved about 9 months back . Since it's our first Halloween here just wanted to know if we should stick to the neighborhood or take my daughter to her friends party in falls church . Also what time are most if the trick or treaters out an about. Need to coordinate so that one of us is home handing out candy and the other takes the "witch" .

Look, if you live in an apartment in Clarendon, come on over. If you used to live in LV and recently moved, come on over. If you live in a neighborhood that isn't close and has it's own TOTing, then stay there. I don't care about the candy, I care about my kids passing friends on the street and there not being a lot of car traffic bringing in loads of people we don't know. |
