Hi. I'm PP who was asking about construction at Takoma over the summer and I was definitely talking about DC. the school faces 11th on the front but the campus backs up To Sherman Ave.

Takoma is moving back to Takoma DC, it's permanent location. I is not staying at the Sherman Ave location-this was temporary.

Takoma EC will move back to its original location, after post-fire repairs and renovation, in December 2011/January 2012. Then the 11th St. location (former Meyer Elementary School) will be used by Cardozo HS while their campus is being renovated: hence, the demountables, so-called trailers. Please, people, try to ascertain FACTS before posting...it's not that hard to get the truth...

I don't get these outrageously snarky comments. What is your problem? Seriously. I drive to work every day down Sherman Ave. Over the summer I saw construction on, what is your term, demountables? I see a thread on Takoma EC which I've never even heard of. I drive home via 11th that night to check it out. I guess that the "demountables" belong to this Takoma EC which I had never heard of before. Postings on this thread lead me to wonder, "Hmm, maybe I should look into this school for my two year-old." I ask an innocent question about, "Hey, what are the trailers all about?" and I get a response from a DCUM douche bag telling me to "ascertain FACTS" Kiss my ascertain.

I was at a party with friends the other night and they were talking about how happy their 5 year old daughter has been at Takoma EC. Plus, the school will be beautiful after the post fire renovations are completed.
