This is the way I think for not only my kids, but for me. Most of our meals are healthy. Once a week or so, my kids and I should be able to "splurge" and eat what we want. That being said, I try to make the kids meals a little healthier if I can by subbing fruit for fries or something similar, but if they really want fries, I don't sweat it since it's not what they're eating every day. |

Last week, DS8 ordered a kobe beef steak from the menu of a Japanese restaurant because he does not like fish/seaweed/roe/miso.
The steak cost $34.00, and he ate about five bites and pronounced it delicious. Steak the next day in a doggy bag is just not steak, you'll never convince me otherwise. (in case I'm being too obtuse, this is precisely the situation where I would've wanted to see a "kids menu" with some standard bland fare. Like a rice cake with a teriyaki chicken strip, for example) |
| DS does not like chicken, fries or cheeseburger, so we most of the time have to order a regular meal. But I would not mind getting kids menu if one day DS ask for it. |
