Min elike reality shows too. Including the adult ones (cupcake wars) and the ones on YTV - splatalot, Zoinked, the ones about kids and different jobs, kids trying new adventures...don't know what they are all called.

My 8 year old DS loves Bear Grylls, Man vs Wild and Steve Irwin's Crocadile Hunter. My 10 yr old DD loves Good Luck Charlie and Food Network shows, specifically Sweet Genius and Cupcake Wars.

Mythbusters (bonus - one of the scientists is a woman), Kickin' It - it's Disney but not terrible - and one of the martial artists is a girl, Phineas and Ferb, Scooby Doo (the new series), Level Up (one of the main characters is a cool girl), Danny Phantom
