Helping Friends Know How to Best Help your Child

NP chiming in. I am the mom of a child on the spectrum. OP you have every right to be concerned and to be honest I question the judgment of a mother who would drop off her kid if the kid has such behaviors. It's not only unfair to you, but to the child. You have every right to say "no."

I agree with the others. In this case, the ASD doesn't tell you much. My kid behaved well on playdates and is way to fearful to do such things. We have had NT kids in our home where I almost called the parents and I declined to have the kid over without a parent again.

OP, you need to tell the mom about the window incident. She needs to know this, for her child's own safety, especially if she is interested in drop-off playdates. Do not concern yourself with the diagnosis but DO tell this mom about what happened.
