If this woman parks her huge, white SUV on the grass at Bradley Hills Presb. School because she is more important than the rest of us and she shouldn't be expected to walk that extra 5 feet to get her pre-schooler, I feel your pain.

No no no. She parks her blue SUV in the handicapped spot in front of a Jewish preschool in NW DC. And, I hope she does see this, and I hope she realizes she's an ass and stops, because this preschool being part of a Temple means that not infrequently, elderly people are on the property during the school day and potentially in need of that spot she's camped in.

OP, can you just starting humming when your frenemy gets like that?

OMG! It's a plague and it's spreading! I seen both the handicapped parking mom and the grass parking mom at two of my kids schools. They're everywhere! Think all of them grew up poor and are over compensating? If so, I should jump on the "I don't care where I park or whom I almost run over" bandwagon. I grew up poor too and maybe it's time to be self-centered and wreckless.

I don't have an SUV and do not park in handicap spots, but this thread is making me soooo uncomfortable. Is it just me?

Even if she were reading this, do you think she'd recognize herself in this caricature? I think we all need to take a breath and be kinder to others, even to those "friends".

Reading DCUM sometimes makes me wonder how many people I piss off just by mere fact that I exist.

On the other hand: I don't really care. I figure if I really annoyed someone, they'd tell me... or they can go and post on DCUM forums

Ha ha ha! Actually, I'm having a wonderful laugh. I wonder if maybe I should start calling people out on their behavior on the internet... it might help me vent, so I can be nicer to their face when they cut me off in the pre-school pick-up line!
