Ok. I called the 800# and asked how they handle refunds when you don't have a receipt. The lady told me that the store will have a list with the refund amounts. She said she was surprised that I got $99 back without a receipt. She felt that was a generous refund. I still feel like I'm being penalized somehow. I feel totally discouraged now. |
How do you suggest they do the refund without receipt? |
it's a recall of an unsafe item. They should give back the actual price since this is their fault. Why should we keep receipts for a year + because something may be recalled. |
I bought mine 4 years ago and certainly don't have a receipt. They tried to give ne store credit and the lowest sale. Price. I refused to leave without the full cash price and reluctantly they agreed. I will forever be hesitant to purchase anything martha stewart or anything from macys for that matter. I have also contacted CPSC because this sounds illegal.... |
I agree. Which store did you go to? |
Will the new models be out anytime soon??? I just got mine a year ago and used it a lot last winter. I was looking forward to using it again now that it is soup and stew season. |
What does "full refund" mean, what you paid for it or the highest it was priced at? I would think it means the full price you paid for it.
|
I HATE Macys, this is one great example of why.
I would imagine Martha Stewart (or any vendor) is going to give the store th credits they are owed for the returned items. They are getting the $ back from it, why shouldn't you? Does anyone know if this is incorrect? |
That's the point, most of these people bought these pots a year ago and don't remember what they paid for it. It's not their fault they have to return a faulty pot; IMO, Macy's/Martha Stewart should be offering back full price refunds to anyone who returns a pot. It's THEIR defective product. |
Those looking for a replacement, I have purchased two of the Tramontina cast iron dutch ovens from walmart. My first is 3 years old and used at least 10 times a month. I purchased a second this past black Friday because I loved it so much! Its under $50 full price. |
Ooooh, this is pushing my mad button. First, Macy's owes the full price back, without a receipt, and they're pukes for not handing it over right away without squawking about it. Second, if they squawk about it and tell you some crap about how they can only give you back the lowest sale price, it's up to you to have a spine and tell them they're full of crap and that they owe you the full price because that's what you paid for it and they should be apologizing to you instead of giving you this crap, and you have to stand there and beat on their heads about it until they pay you the full price back. So there. |
Le Creuset
That is all |
OMG!! I got this pot for Christmas but maybe it is one of the "post recall" models. I don't have the receipt but I am going to go dig the box with the Macy's tape from the recycling bin and see if they will take it back anyhow. I read on the box that it is not for use on glass top cooktops which is what I have so I could only use it in the oven anyhow. |
