Where is the conservative intellectual elite when you need them? Apparently, not working as fact checkers. The tea party base is still waiting for the Enlightenment. Capitalism has run amok only to come back and bite itself on the ass of the American economy. Warren Buffett is willing to pay more taxes. Nobody else is. Compromise is usually a good thing-it goes hand in hand with tolerance. However, on the political stage, compromise is an act of cowardice that won't get anyone re-elected. Here's the solution-a six year one time presidential term. No need to pander to the future. At least the masses will have some chance of restoring the constitution to it's original intent and things can be allowed to run amok naturally.
