| You think sushi is not frozen? In most cases, the freshest fish is frozen on the boat. How long do you think it takes a tuna to go from the boat to your plate. I don't really want to supply the links to fish parasites....you may stop eating sushi. To the question, I might eat a fish I catch, but if I did not catch it and prep it, it has the be frozen. (that's for eating it raw or cooked, in the first case it kills most parasites and in the second case it is fresher) |
Don't you know that wasabi kills the parasites? That's why we eat it with sushi. |

Yes, you are correct. Salmon is gross. I have never eaten it canned, just the usual fresh preparations: lemon-dill-butter, teriyaki, etc.
I do like well-smoked salmon from time to time. But otherwise, it's lots of white flaky fishes, preferably sort-of local-- grouper, flounder, etc. |
| Salmon isn't gross. It's almost the only fish I'll eat and certainly my favorite (I'll eat tuna, swordfish -- non-fishy fishes). I grew up knowing only white-fleshed fishes (East coast-born). Too fishy. |
