My realtor confirmed that; she didn't even want me looking on Edison and Emerson, but I did anyway.

Yes, Culpeper is sort of a random street. I cut down it sometimes to get over to my son's school. There are some random looking garden apartments and some smaller, run down houses. I do love Heidelberg bakery though and the playground behind the McDonald's is nice, too!

Reston is not just the Town Center. In fact, look past the Town Center and into the Lake Anne area. Very walkable, charming, and the "real" Reston. We love it.

there's some good stuff on lee highway around highview park! i used to go to cowboy cafe all the time, and that Ruffino's place. our new house is not far from there (we'll be off of George Mason), so I imagine i'll be revisiting a lot of places with my daughter.

We've lived here for a few years now... and we love it. It is a really friendly neighborhood- some neighbors have had family in the area for generations (literally, pre- Civil War), while others are young families and professionals who have moved in more recently. It is quite diverse, and our family likes that. It is in the Yorktown pyramid and walkable to Metro and plenty of parks.
