My 2 year old is also completely obsessed about Fire Trucks. Here are some of his favorites:

Fred the Firefighter

Richard Scarry's Busiest Firefighters Ever, Smokey's Fire Truck, Firefighters Busy Day

A Day in the life of a firefighter (DK book)

Firefighters A to Z (Chris Demarest)

Here's a few from DC:

And international ones:

Another thing we found fun for the boys was to goto the website for our local fire department and download the pictures from their site (we have a volunteer department near us). We printed out a little 'book' of all the engines and ladders and then when they went to 'fire station day' with the school they recognized them as being the local trucks.

Most fire stations have a website now days:

These links are awesome, thank you so much (no the op).

We attended a bday party at the Cabin John Fire Station this weekend. It was amazing. The station was open to the kids, the climbed all over the trucks, the volunteers dressed in gear for them and gave demonstrations. Most people don't know this, but you really can just pop in a fire station to say hi and take a look at the trucks, they're happy to see the kids and show them around.

That is awesome!

If you have Comcast, On Demand has a 6 minute Fire Truck video under Kids right now, I'd have to take a look to see exactly where it is but my boys love it.

not fire trucks per se, but very cute

Agree. My son & I both love this one, even now when he's long past the fire truck phase.

My oldest son, now 20, loved firetrucks and his favorite bedtime story was "The Little Fireman" by Margaret Wise Brown. In the story, the little fireman fights a little fire and then goes home to have a little bowl of pink ice cream, while the big fireman fights a big fire and goes home to have a big bowl of ice cream. Then the little firefighter goes to bed and dreams a big dream, while the big fireman goes to bed and dreams a little dream. A very sweet book.

You have to get the Firefighter George DVD series, which features real firefighters who show the tools in all the trucks and demonstrate how things work. My son was obsessed.

Not a book, but my daughter is obsessed with Fireman Sam. It's a UK cartoon and is on PBS Sprout sometimes. Target sells 2 Fireman Sam DVDs - I think that's all that is available in the US. The show is about a little town in Scotland with a fire department that has to rescue people quite often. It's not just about fires, but all kinds of situations where people or animals have gotten into trouble and need help. I enjoy it because the mountain rescue helicopter guy is quite attractive.

We must have a previous release. We've had it for years.

Not the PP but I saw that one wasn't available (I'm not the OP either, but have a truck-obsessed 2 year old) and I entered "totally trucks" in Amazon and they have a series of different videos. There is a fire truck one available.

I just showed my 2 year old a clip of Fireman Sam on Youtube. He LOVES it. We just introduced "TV" and he hasn't showed any interest in anything we've tried--he gobbled this up, though.
