There will always be a very small percentage of people who are successful with 0% morph, but please realize your story is not the norm.
Congrats, however. |
| I'm the guy from 2 posts ago, so I got my results for my second SA, approx. 3 months after my first one. Morphology only went up from 0% to 1%, so not much difference. But other factors improved significantly: count went up from 51 giga/L to 79 giga/L and Motility went up from 64% to 73%. Maybe that's why we were able to conceive. As previous person's post, there will always be success stories with low morph, but it obviously helps to have a higher count. I believe acupuncture was the main factor in the improvements. |

Me and my wife TTC for 3 years. I also have 0% morpoholgy count and motility is good. I started to take Welmen conception, Fish oil and vitamin c. Took these vits almost 10 months without a break. I don't smole or drink. I did my SA last week results came back 0% morphology nothing improved. Only option Given to us is IVF-ICSI.
Gdluck to every couple TTC |

On the Kruger scale my DH was at 3% and we were told that our chances of a healthy conception were slim. In 2 years we did get pregnant once but miscarried at 11 weeks. The product of conception was examined and a chromosomal abnormality associated with bad sperm was the cause of miscarriage.
The urologist saw DH and he had a varicocele so we had two choices. IVF with ICSI (IUI is a waste of time and money with bad morphology and any RE who suggests it is just milking you) or a varicocele repair (very painful and can take 6 months for results and not a guarantee to fix the problem). We opted for IVF and got pregnant right out of the gate and had a healthy pregnancy. DH then opted for the repair and and 6 months after the surgery we got pregnant on the first try and another healthy pregnancy. We didn't have any other issues though. But depending on age, I would not wait. |
| You might want to try again in 3 months. It takes 3 months to make sperm and it is very much variable. It might get better. |

Hi I was hoping for Advice here. Me and my wife are both extremely healthy and we have been having un protected sex without birth control for about 4 years ( I was still Pulling out). about 10 months ago we began trying to have kids by simply stop pulling out we were not using any ovulation test or anything else. Well about 6 months ago we began testing and actively trying yet no luck. I went to get a SA a few days ago and was told I had 0% Morphology and a count of only 6 million she said my mobility was normal 23% swimming rapidly and 23% swimming slowly. Being that we are pretty young. both of us 26 should we continue to try to conceive naturally. How bad are our odds and is there a chance I just had a bad batch...
Sorry Im not hip to the lingo in here this is new to me. Had to use google just to look up what TTC and DH meant.. Thanks for any advice. |
| PP, 6 million is very low. Normal counts are in the 10s of millions, preferably 50 million or above. You have an excellent chance to conceive with assistance though, in particular IVF, given your ages. I would take advantage of your age and go sooner rather than later. Especially if you have insurance coverage from one of your jobs but even if you don't. |
| We have insurance but I would have to check if it's covered. Isnt IVF between 10-15k without insurance? |

Look into Shady Grove Fertility's Shared Risk program. It's about $20,000 + $2,000 for ICSI (which you will prob need). But you get 6 fresh tries (plus any Frozen Embryos) to get a take home baby or you get all your money back. One of things not included is medication which is $3000-$6000 per fresh cycle (frozen cycles are like $300). But since you wife is young, she prob wont have to take as many meds, so it will be closer to the $3000 end.
However, since you are the one with the problem and not her, it might be worth it to just pay for one cycle. You have a good shot of getting pregnant the first round. But you just never know if you have additonal problems that might be causing the infertility--you'll have to weigh the benefit-risk ratio |

My husband also has 0% morphology. We have been told the correct terminology is 'Globozoospermia'.
We are currently working with our fertility specialist to find a way to have a baby. However it is extremely frustrating that there is very little out there to look at, As the condition is extremely rare. If there is anyone with who can shed any light on this please get in touch. |
| Get your DH to a urologist for some testing, because there may be a way to correct this. Unfortunately, these may be the cards you've been dealt. In which case I agree with PPs--it's an IVF/ICSI situation. |
We had 0% normal morphology and conceived twice with IVF/ICSI. We have twins and a singleton from those cycles. My husband saw a urologist and we tried a bunch of things to improve his morphology but nothing ever helped. IVF/ICSI was the answer. We have since had unprotected sex for 5+ years and I have never had an accidental pregnancy so apparently we need IVF to conceive. |

just wanted to update you all this was my post from april

Sorry Im not hip to the lingo in here this is new to me. Had to use google just to look up what TTC and DH meant.. Thanks for any advice. Ive had 2 SA since then the first was in july and it was worse 0% morphology and 2.5 mil count. my motility was up to 63% though... well my doctor started me on Clomid and yesterday my results were much better. After almost 4 months on Clomid my Morphology was 3% my count was almost 11 million and my motility was 43 percent ( he said not an issue) we are going to try IUI very soon and if a couple sessions don't work we are going to save up for IUI next October after our big vacation. The clomid has spiked my Test and Estrogen levels resulting in some Anxiety so ive cut down to 12.5 mg a day instead of 25 and hopefully that will lower my test and estrogen without hurting my numbers. still no baby but good luck everyone hopefully we can be a clomid success story. |
| I was told I had 0 percent morphology but good sperm count and motility they used Kreuger method. My wife had a Polyp removed three months ago and she just got pregnant naturally after two months of hardly trying. I also have a 7 year old daughter naturally. The morphology sounds like nonsense as the Kreuger method was admitted to be much stricter and will count sperm abnormal that other methods would say is normal. |
