nationally, yes, but the reason we didn't go with BRU is because there are NONE upcounty we live in Gaithersburg, and the closest is in Cherry Hill in SS! But if you are expecting gifts from out-of-towners, then they are more well-known than Buy Buy Baby, and I assume you can buy BRU registry things from Toys R Us too. |
Isn't there a really big baby section in the Toys R Us in Rockville? |
We went with Babies 'r' Us for the completion discount and their "rewards" program. Getting a $5 coupon for every $150 spent adds up fast when you're buying larger items (and you can link your registry to it so that anything anyone else buys also counts towards the rewards you earn).
I always price check with amazon first though. With the coupon book we got from BRU recently, we found that most things were cheaper at BRU than amazon. Without the coupons/sales Amazon would have been cheaper on most things though. The thing that annoys me about BRU is they'll do free shipping on orders over $100, but only up to $20 of shipping costs. So I just split my latest order into 3 shipments to get it all shipped for free. They had no pro |
re: Target return policy... I got several "extra" gifts from there without a gift receipt and decided to return them for store credit and use the money for other baby items (the gifts were packs of onesies and receiving blankets we didn't need because we had hand-me-downs, etc--felt bad asking for a receipt and figured the gift-givers would never know). I was worried about having to "prove" that they were from the store, but on three separate trips, they just swiped my ID and then issued a gift card for the amount the items rang up for. No problem at all. This was at the Target at Rio in Gaithersburg. |
