I like it. I also like the more Spanish-sounding variation Andres. Go for it! |
Some people might mispronounce it, either like "Andrea," the girl's name, or Andres (Ahn-DRACE), but I say go for it anyway. It's a good classic name and I like that it works in multiple languages and countries. |
That's my German brother in law's name. I think it's awesome! Go for it. |
9:42 PP from 5/20. Apparently, I can talk DH into this name, because it sounds as though he will go for it if this baby is a boy. So you still get a big two thumbs up from me! |
Good name. If you have a UK last name go with Andrew. |
Love it.
Also love Andres (went to high school with a smoking hot guy named Andres.... yum.) |
unless keyboards and word programs improve, it's gonna be a typing nightmare for the poor guy. OP couldn't even put in the accent! |
PP, Andreas isn't written with an accent. |
very common name in Germany! |
There is no accent in the German name Andreas! The OP meant 'stress' on the second syllable. As in AnDREas. |
I knew an "Andreas" in college 20 years ago. His close friends ended up calling him "'Dreas" and sometimes "Dre".
|
I'll be negative. Is it going to have an actual accent or just be Andreas? If it's going to be spelled with an accent that might be a pain in the ass when typing. Otherwise, nice. |
LOVE. And I don't think people will mispronounce. |
