They are rethinking of casting Lily; they want her to be talking more in the next season. Read on tvline or tvguide.

I read in an interview with one of the cast members, can't remember who, that the twins who play Lily are both just totally chill in real life and that is what they do, just sit there. I don't think there is anything wrong with them. I think I might recast if I were the producers, though, too bc there is a lot you could probably do with that baby if you had a kid who would ham it up. Clearly not going to happen with the current actors (props?).

Not the PP you quoted but SAG is the Screen Actor's Guild. You can't be in a movie, television show or more than like 2 commercials with lines without paying dues and being a member of the guild.

Honestly my kid is super outgoing but pull out a camera and he stops smiling and playing instantly. This is probably why the Olson twins were considered to be so amazing - they'd say the cutest lines on command, or so it seemed.

Watching MF right now. Am I the only one that finds the Lily character annoying? She almost makes me want to stop watching altogether.

Did they recast her? The toddler/young child Lily is a little strange...I feel bad saying that about a child. Maybe what I mean to say is that I do not think the role suits her.

Yes they recast her. I was surprised by the choice of recast. They must want a personality-less child in this role (or a child who can act like they don't have a personality).

I don't like the new Lily either. She is robotic and unnatural.
