What's going on with Lily on Modern Family?

This show was never funny. It can't hold a candle to the big comedies of the mid to late nineties (Frasier, Seinfeld).

Modern Family was not written for the same audience. Think more along the lines of The Office. I hated Seinfeld but love Modern Family (my brother is the opposite).

I like Lily, I think she delivers her lines well and in a very sassy mater of fact manner.

Lily is a total brat and I can't stand watching her. I'm not sure what the writers are going for here but it's not working.

Yes, the acting is horrible. The delivery of lines is so weird and awkward. She doesn't mesh with the other to actors.
