how much will you spend on a bra?

I have big boobs so I have no choice but to drop some cash for a bra. When I go shopping I expect the starting point to be $50. I but my bras through Title Nine sports almost exclusively now. That have every shape, size and support level you could want. It's great for small, medium and super busty like me.

32DDDD here, sometimes a 34DDD (and all natural).

I jump backflips if I find a bra for $50. Most of mine are in the $75 range. Wacoal, Le Mystere, Simone Perele are the brands in my closet. It is not easy to find small band-big cups that fit right (most are cut too high in the arm pit and chafe). And my size never seems to go on sale.

I tend to stick to Victoria's Secret because they fit me well so I usually spend about $40 per bra (unless they are on sale).

For nursing bras, I spent about $20 at first when I bought them at Motherhood. They were terrible and stretched out. So, I spent a little more at Pea in the Pod and loved those bras until I stopped nursing.

If you ever get yourself professionally fitted for a bra, you will probably be surprised to see that your cup size goes up and your strap size goes down. I always thought I was a 36C and when I got measured, I am now a 34DD (or E) depending on the bra.

I have bought a couple of expensive bras - $60+ and I rotate them. They have now last for a couple of years, but it is probably time to update them.

Happened to me too. Thought I was a 36 B and measured as a 34 C. Recently bought expensive bra (Waicol) and it's really comfortable. After years of target and gap bras. This one really does fit better. $60. Bought two more and that's all I wear now.

as a male, I'm assuming most of these posts are by teenage boys. 32DDDD??? 34F???? come on! where were these big boobs when I was single?

meant "30G"

36GG here. And, no, I'm not a teen boy. I've dropped as much as $88 before, but generally spend $55-$70 on each one.

I spend 50 dollars on VS push up bras. I'm only at 34B but I need the push up after having kids.

I'm a 38G and my starting point is $40 at the least. First of all I can NEVER find my size in stores so I usually order online through catalogs. Then there's the trial and error of that process. It's daunting to say the least. I need a lot of support and can't wear just any bra, else I get the dreaded "four boob" look. Most of my bras cost as much as most of my blouses, or even more.

Agreed. Either that or there's lots of bragplaining going on here.

I spend $50-70 but I have big boobs and need the support. I usually only have like 3 bras at a time that I wear regularly, and I hand wash them. I've tried the cheaper bras but they are never supportive or comfortable.

Ha, I wish my size (34DD/E pre-preg) wasn't my real size. I cannot wait to have a reduction and not have to shell out $60+ for a comfortable, supportive bra and be able to buy the correct size button-up shirt instead of having to go up a size so I don't have any gaps between the buttons. I've had to pass up some pretty cute dresses and shirts because the "girls" don't fit in like they should.

Ditto, I am also 34DD and am terrified of what will happen when I get pregnant. It is a tough size to find already - I usually order online. I too only wear Wacoal, which is expensive as hell ($60 now), but very comfortable and supportive.

I'm the PP you quoted. I went up 2 sizes by the time I was 6 months pregnant. Instead of buying something crazy expensive during pregnancy, I went to Target and found something that fit. Trust me, there's not point in spending a ton of money for something that probably won't fit you the entire pregnancy. Of course now all the bras I had before getting pregnant don't fit and I have to go shopping again...

I'm a 34G (I think that's what it is). I buy mine at Nordstrom because they have the ones that I like best. They are about $90 a piece (Chantelle is the band, I think). I wish I was a boy who is making this up, but unfortunately, it's my life and I hate it. I'd love a reduction, but it's not in my financial future (work for the government, so does DH).

I hate having a large bust!!!!!!!
