OP, doing all this won't help. You should find a calming activity to put you to sleep.

Something that can be done with a low light while drinking something warm. You have to put your brain to sleep.

The last 5 or 6 nights I tried to calm myself, had some sleepy-time tea, just relaxed in bed hoping to fall asleep. I wasn't able to fall asleep until around 3am. I'm going to go heat up some milk and take two tylenol pm (best sleep meds I could find next to trying Benadryl). I'm not sure what's going on. My body just wont drift off and fall asleep. I just lay there.

PP you quoted here. Laying in bed won't help. You have to find some soothing activity. Like reading for some, rocking your body for others, when I cant sleep rocking myself helps a lot!

Like a baby learning to sooth themselves, you have to find the technique that will work for you.

Doesn't Tylenol PM contain same ingredient as Benadryl?

Ambien is magic. I take it and never look back.

I agree with Benadryl. I can't sleep right and just took some xanax. Here's hoping it will help!!

Well, I took my Advil PM at 10:00 last night and I'm still up. Dr gave me Lunesta samples last week and it seemed to work. Anyone know how Lunesta is compared to Ambien?
