Also, you realize it is likely to be cool and rainy at brunch time on Easter this year. You might want to consider a plan that includes an acceptable indoor venue as well.

Is the Chart House still in Old Town? Or what about a place along the canal in GT, like Sea Catch?

The Chart House in Alexandria is a good choice and you might consider indoor brunch at 1789. Or Mount Vernon for something different.
