DC Public and Public Charter Schools
| Oh, very cool. Thanks for all the info. Still keeping fingers crossed for this evening. |
| How do you get there from Dupont area? |
|
I would think the easiest from Dupont would be New hampshire _> 16th -> Harvard -> Irving and then either up North Cap a little bit or left onto harewood
(directions to the new building, BTW) |
Thanks. How long would this take during rush hour? And the return trip?
|
this school year there is a parent paid for bus (15 passenger van) that leaves from ~ U St. Also 2 buses from Capital Hill. If there are sufficient kids in Dupont, a bus might be a possiblity. Every year the school PA (Parent's Association) does a survey to determine if there are enough kids in any area to support a bus. Parents pay the cost which I believe is ~$200 per month. |
There is a bus from Mt. Pleasant. 16th and Irving, I believe. Otherwise, Rhode Island to N. Cap. Rt. on Taylor. |

Two quick questions:
1. When will the results of the Yu Ying lottery be available and how will they be posted -- online? email to parents ? 2. What metro station is closest to the new location of Yu Ying? |
1. I recieved an e-mail when my child was admitted after the lottery. Assume the same this year. The on line wait list was posted pretty soon after the lottery last year (days, not weeks) 2. Catholic U / Brookland Station is closest. It is an uphill walk to the school. Less than a mile. |
| Does anyone know if you find out the waiting list order tonight at the lottery? |
| How was it? |
| Major kudos to Yu Ying for posting the results so quickly! (And yes, the waitlist is also posted.) I also appreciate being able to see the admitted/waitlisted numbers for grades besides PK--since we'll be applying again next year... |
