Agree completely with 13:29. One added thought for those who mentioned inconvenience as a factor for including registry information- I find it pretty easy to inquire with the host when RSVP-ing for the event. If for some reason that doesn't work out, the simple online search for the usual stores is most always successful. If for some reason I can't find the registry information (never happened???), I would just select something myself and provide a gift receipt. A gift is a gift, and I'd hope the honoree would receive it graciously no matter what.
