What about Walter Johnson? Is it really a step below these others?

WJ has always had the rep of more artsy, less pressure than WW or Churchill. Probably draws from more diverse areas too. Frankly, it's tough to go wrong at most of the MCPS high schools provided adequate parental involvement in schooling.

Also, might be somewhat easier to get into top-tier colleges from "lesser" schools due to lower volume of expected Ivy and similar prospects.

WJ has a nice feel, good kids, solid academics.
