Lipstick for Those Afraid of Lipstick?

I recommend going to a makeup counter. The salesfolks there are invested in having you as a regular customer. They should help you out w finding the right thing for you... just as the first saleslady did.

I tend to like Clinique and Bobby Brown products, myself, but what works for me might not work for you. We do have lipstick phobia in common, though.

not the OP but based on this thread I ordered the Clinique Black Honey. It really is great and I am not a lipstick wearer at all. I never would have bought it without these recommendations since it looks so dark in the tube but it is a great color on. So thanks DCUM.
