Do I want a wooden glider or an upholstered recliner?

I put a Boppy on top of my lap (sat on top of the arm rests). I could nurse totally hands free

I second Craigslist. We got our wooden glider for $50 (including delivery), and it looks super cute with the other nursery stuff. DD isn't here yet so jury's still out on whether she'll like it, but I'm happy so far. For the record, I also recently got this gorgeous davinci dresser/changing table combo off Craigslist this weekend for $45 because the people needed to get rid of it, even though it retails new on amazon for $409. Sometimes you can find really amazing stuff at a great deal!

We didn't have a glider w/ #1 because we were living in a small apartment with no space. Nursing on the couch or wherever was no problem at all, but we did spend a lot of time standing and bouncing to try to get DS to sleep. I think having a chair that rocked/moved might have taken some of the strain off of our backs. For #2 we decided to go with the Poang rocker from Ikea. I find it super-comfortable and it has a relatively small footprint. Ended up being about $200 (we chose one of the deluxe covers), and I'm pretty sure we'll be able to use it as regular furniture once we are out of the infant stage.
