Anyone using new Weight Watchers program?

there is really no conversion, because the new pointsplus measure carbs and protein, where the old system did not. It's a whole new formula and people have been guessing at it for months. You'll really need a pointsplus calculator, book or online access. They made it much harder.

You can put any recipe into the recipe builder. Not accurate just to add two points. Also, I read somewhere that WW has a list of conversions for old cookbooks but I have no idea where you would get that.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a particular WW message board that you have found helpful?

The WW online message boards are not helpful for figuring out points. They are a public forum, so weight watchers closely monitors and removes any references to points values of particular foods. They gotta protect their trademark I guess, but I find it annoying.

If you are trying to follow the new plan, but aren't a WW member, it might be worth becoming a member for a month. I think there is no registration fee right now. You'll get your pointsplus allowance and you'll be able to buy a calculator or plan books for the new plan. The cool thing about the new calculator is that it will calculate your pointsplus allowance for you.

Most of the renegade sites weren't up to date for pointsplus last time I looked. That may have changes, since the last time I looked was about a month ago.

Oh, thanks for the recipe builder tip. This is the OP and I did join. I have two cookbooks that I use a lot though that are old points and I didn't know how to convert the points without having to add each individual item into the tracker thing. But the recipe builder should make it easier...a little anyway. I will look for the cookbook converter thing...Weight Watchers should do it, these are Weight Watchers cookbooks afterall. I'd buy it...it'd make my life easier.

I am the PP who said I am eating a lot of fruit and losing about a pound a week. I use every single activity point and every single weekly point, and am still losing a pound a week or so. Just to clarify.

Weight Watchers continues to mail out color brochures advertising cookbooks based on the old Points values. (I just received a brochure yesterday, and it says "All new in 2011.)

I'm an online member and really love the program, but I think it's a bit off for the company to be promoting cookbooks that no longer work with the new Points Plus plan.
