Anyone using new Weight Watchers program?

Anonymous
I just started this...wondering if anyone's doing the new WW program (the PointsPlus program rather than the old Points program)? Are you losing weight? Thoughts? Are you eating lots of fruit?

Im doing it. I like the plan a lot more than the previous one. I'm losing but it's slow. I eat about three pieces of fruit a day.

I'm doing it and have lost about a pound a week. I much prefer this system to the old one. I'm eating a lot of fruit, yes, and that hasn't hampered the weight loss any.

I've been doing it for about 2 1/2 weeks and have lost about 5 lbs so far (next weigh-in is Friday). I love that fruit is 0 points since I eat a lot of it.

Can you tgive a quick run down of the new program, I haven't heard about it yet. Fruits and Veggies are 0 points? Does the point allotment change?

Thanks

Yes, I did it last year and I was allowed 23 points per day. With the new points program I am allowed 29 points. Not all veggies are 0 points - some more starchy veggies (corn, peas) still have points. Not sure about all fruits - I think all the ones I have eaten so far (apples, cherries, clementines, bananas, grapes) have been 0 so far.

I was very successful on weight watchers years ago and kept the weight off until I had DS and really let myself go again . I'm trying to get back into it but am not used to the new numbers. I think the higher allotments make me think I can and should eat more. Ugh. Anyone using it have tips for how to change over to the new way of counting?

I've only been doing it 3 days, but I like it much more than the old program. I'm making healthier choices because I don't have to use points to eat fruit and veggies. I think that makes it much easier to stick with too, though I'm nursing so I have a ton of points which also makes it easier

This is good to know, because I was worried about this. I am staying within my points, but eating quite a bit of fruit. I know they tell you not to go crazy with the fruit and I'm not, but I'm glad to hear you are still losing weight. Anyone use all their "bonus" points a week. I have not been using them...wonder if that will speed up, or slow down my loss? Should I use them?

I havent quite figured out why the points on a weight watchers packaged dinner says one thing, but when I add to my tracking, it is always 2 points higher.

most of the packaging on the prepared stuff has the old points systems, not pointsplus. You may need to calculate the pointsplus until the packaging catches up.

I'm generally scared to use the weekly points but I do use at least a few a week. If you are an online member you can set the tracker to use your activity points before the weekly points.

I am losing 2 pounds every week with the new program but I never use my extra points though.

Thank you so much for posting this! This had actually been one of my mental hang-ups between the old version and this one. I lose my max when I eat my activity points but not my weekly points.

Interesting. Also, does anyone know of any converter system for old points to new points? Or should I just basically add two points to whatever the previous points were. I have several cookbooks I like to use, but they give old points. All in all I like this system better, although it's too early for me to tell how well I will lose. I love being able to eat so much fruit though!
