PP here. I so hope my zoom lens is getting her! I suspect it is AWESOME!
PP, you don't know what your neighbor's idea of revenge is, do you? Probably not. |

Dog poop takes months to decompose -- we have 2 dogs.
If you aren't just being a jerk but instead truly forgot a bag, either knock on the owner's door and ask for a bag. Or, walk back home get a bag and come back. I've done both. |
| I like to walk up to the perpetrator and kick him/her square in the face. |
| Pour bacon grease on the droppings. They magically disappear. |
| Op, is the dog actually going in your yard, or in the patch of land between the sidewalk and curb? If the latter, that's not actually your yard, but city property. I'd surely be irritated if the dog owner wasn't picking up the poop, wherever it is on the street, but I hope you're not upset if the dog is simply using that area (and the owner picks up any waste). |
| The only thing that worked for us is installing a fence in the front yard. Good luck. |
| 19:23 - the dog owner can still be held accountable and fined by the county, even if it on/by the sidewalk. It could really be anywhere. OP, take pictures! Hell, post them! |

They aren't picking the poop up?
OMG, my neighbors yell at me if my dog poops on that utility strip near their house AND I pick it up. I try to get her to wait until we hit the trail, but sometimes the dog just has to go. And - when it is dark, I don't feel safe on the trail (especially with a dog and preschooler - when my husband is travelling we go out as a clan). But man, I'm picking up the poop. Make sure the grass and plants there aren't long. My dog really goes for the overgrown grass areas. I think because they hold smells longer. Second, do scoop up the poop yourself. Once one dog poops, they will all want to poop. My dog has literally dragged me over to a place where ther is other dog poop. Third - I'd go to a petsmart and look for a deterant. I think they have them. |
Good to know that it's the sociopaths out there who do this. Thank you for clarifying this. |
| Poop in the known offenders yard. Leave them a note telling them you will require coffee, TP, and a morning paper. You will stop when they pick it up. |
A few years ago, my lab went on that strip in front of a neighbor's house. He had a very loose stool and I tried to pick it up as much as I could. As I am doing this, the neighbor comes and parks her car in front of the house. She then starts yelling at me to pick up all the poop. Since there was nothing I could do short of washing the grass, I walked away from her. She got in her car and followed me home. A little while later, she was back. She tad taken a shovel and scooped the poop together with the grass and soild and dumped it on my front yard. I took it back to her house... |
Then I figure this will attract cockroaches and other vermin. |
Uh, it is not the dogs' fault. You speak to the d-bag owners and ask them to keep their dog poo in their own yard or you'll be sure to deliver the remnants to them for them to dispose of. |
No, sweets. I said I know animals don't control when they poop, just like toddlers. I wouldn't like it if they pooped in front of the house but I'm more unnerved by the fact that the dogs poop and the owner does not PICK THE SHIT UP. If they forget the plastic bag (which our community does provide), then they can run back from their home with a bag at a later time. It's a small neighborhood of townhomes so they don't have far to travel. The dog is pooping in the strip of sidewalk and curb. Doesn't matter who owns it bc the shit is in front of the house where we have to step over/on. At night time, it's dark so you can't see if the dog has shit again that day. Who can suggest a webcam that I can record video and take photos? |
| Once you find out who it is, pick itup and put in brown paperbag, add a bit of gas to the bag, light it on fire and put on their door step, ring the bell, when they open the door and stomp it out... man i miss being a teenager |
