swollen fingers and stuck rings

I also bought a fake set when my fingers started to swell -- engagement ring and wedding band, the whole nine yards. I didn't want to look like an unwed mother either (not that there is anything wrong with that) and I was scared I was lose my rings if I wore them around my neck.

I know OP already solved it, but you can also hold your hand above your head for a while while holding an ice-pack--helps decrease swelling and fluid buildup. Then use Vaseline or Windex.
