Maybe, but there are risks, too. This is how Khomeini came to power in Iran. Revolt does not mean democracy.

Risks for who. There would not have been a Khomeini if the CIA and British government had not overthrown a democratically elected government in Iran and installed the Butcher also known as the Shah of Iran.

If a dictatorship gets replaced with another dictatorship, then it is a risk for everyone domestic and abroad. Life sure changed for Iranian women, and political violence has clearly not gone away.

I am not defending the current government. But the world isn't all good guys and bad guys.
