I don't know why you would assume that. Eric Rudolph had a religious upbringing. Besides, religion is the parents' job, not the government's.
Don't you mean sex education is the parents job, not the governments'?

Could you just quit it for 2 hours? I wouldn't object if you were presenting a political argument--but this seems like an example of just nipping at others' heels with culture-war references, annoying but not actually presenting anything.

Can you just hold your fire for as long as this woman is in surgery? And if religion is important to you, please pray for her, her children, and our nation.

Has the shooter been caught? If not, that may be the reason for the race/gender/approx. age description.

You are a sicko. If you are Christian, you are a waste of communion.

The original poster has got to be a troll. Ignore him/her.

While Giffords is still alive, 6 people are dead (18 people total were shot) including a 9 yr old and a federal judge. If this isn't domestic terrorism than I don't know what is.

I was the OP, and I don't see myself as a troll. It may well be true that it was wrong to paint a picture of the shooter, although I still don't see the problem. Mainly, I was in "Wow, have you seen this?" mode, and did not think about whether copying what I read was apropos.

Posting anonymously, it's a bit silly of me to worry about being called a troll, but I confess that I am nevertheless curious whether it was that post that led you to use the epithet, or something else you attribute to the same poster (me, that is)?

^^^ I think they were referring to the poster who started the religion talk, not you (the OP of the thread).

I don't think the original poster of the thread was being called a troll, but the original poster of the quoted text, i.e. the person who mentioned taking religion out of schools.

Yes, that was my post, and I was referring to the poster who mentioned religion and schools, not to OP. In fact, thanks OP, for the link to the Palin poster.

OP here --I've been posting the Palin links and the youtube link. I figured that I was posting in the politics forum so, a little more latitude... It is all so unbelievably tragic; a 9 year old girl and a federal judge killed at the sort of event that I could easily see myself attending.

PP here. Well. that didn't come out right! This just feels more relatable because of the details...Circumstances of this are just so very shocking.

Not quite. You were OP of "Gabrialla ..." (I assume), I was OP of "Assassinated ..." Since her name is Gabrielle and she is still alive, we are both guilty of inaccuracy. Having two different threads on the same topic sure confuses things.
