Miley Cirus with bong-not pot in it but still never ever be around people who have video on phone

Anonymous
I highly doubt it was salvia and regardless, that girl knows how to hit a bong. Given how eager she seems to be to promote a slutty/druggy image (nude pictures, pole dancing), my guess is she'll more than happily snort lines soon enough.

You all didn't try pot when you were 18ish? Seriously?

Of course I did, but even then in the pre-Internet days I was careful not to be photographed with it. And I wasn't even famous. This girl is an idiot and a train wreck waiting to happen.

I also wasn't a superstar who made her money and name on being wholesome.

I wasn't stupid enough to get caught with it. Girl's an idiot trainwreck.

Money and privilege clouds judgment and makes you think you can do no wrong. What is that saying about empires collapsing from within?

Oh great, can't hide the trash now. See the "culture clash" thread under "school discussion". I was shocked to read that some idiot mothers took their seven year old girls to the Miley Cyrus concert on a school night. What a great influence on our impressionable youth.

I know this is a crazy idea, but how about we not put stars up on a pedestal, demand tons of information on their personal lives and then judge them for every little thing they do? I don't let my tween child read trashy magazines because I think that is where the moral line is crossed. It's none of our business and if we didn't spend billions of dollars a year on reading this bullshit, it wouldn't be considered news. They're entertainers and we pay them for their entertaining....not for a microscope view of every one of their teen mishaps.

It is far stupider to think that they will be perfect enough for us to approve. Please see: almost every child star for the last few decades.

I think the trade off is that they are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyy over paid so they have no privacy. If we scale back on the pay, they can have more privacy. I think that is what happens with D list stars -- nobody gives a crap about them so they don't make as much.

Good luck fighting this battle. It's human nature to be interested in the lives of people who are unusually lucky, talented, attractive, rich, or powerful. In other countries it's the royal family, here it's Hollywood celebrities. At least Hollywood celebrities (most of them) did something more than just be born into the right family.

But that is why Miley's parents should know better. The girl nets tens of millions a year (not to mention the money she nets for many companies). She is a brand and so the company is going to spin this and it will be out of her control. Way more consequences than if the average 18 year old did this.

Lots of idiot mothers out there. Because of them the Lindsay Lohans and Miley Cyruses will continue to cash in at the expense of our youth.

I know, Billy Ray had some fame when he was younger. Not on the scale of his daughter but he has some idea.

Yeah, well her mother just wrecked the family by hooking up with Bret Michaels. Maybe she's just another kid going through issues.

I think the problem with all the "celebrities are human" and she's just another kid with issues stuff is that everything that happens to celebs are on a much larger scale. Look at Lindsay Lohan - throughout her late teens and early 20s she and her mother and her camp loved to use the "all girls her age go out with their friends, party, drink" and that is true. However when I was that age, I still had to get up the next day and go to class, go to work, study for a test. I had daily responsibities as most non celebs do.

I didnt' have a team of people covering for me if I screwed up. If I overslept for something, I didnt' have managers, agents, make up and hair team fixing it so I'd come off okay. So they don't really have to face consequences on a daily basis like normal people do, and when they get to point where they can no longer function and it can't be covered up, they end up in rehab and not able to find work because movie companies won't insure them. And that is why even though I was a stupid kid, I grew out of it, and why Lindsay is in her fourth rehab at the point where I was applying to grad school and advancing my new career path.
