| A friend of mine had a filler put in in the area around the mouth you're talking about and it looks great. I noticed immediately, but not in a strange you've had plastic surgery/work done way. She looks younger and her face looks smooth, and it looks completely natural. I think she used restalayne (sp). She and I both see Dr. Olding in DC (i've been for botox and dysport) |
Thanks. I've noticed it lately - in photos. I've been airbrushing it out, using my Mac, and it makes me look ten years younger. Thanks again - I'm going to follow up on it. |
| you wont regret it. i've been so happy with the results of the botox and dysport. it makes such a big difference and it's such an easy and quick appointment. |
Who are you to say she won't regret it. There's nothing like injecting deadly poisons into your face in a desperate attempt to look younger. I am sure you don't look as good as you think you do. Sorry. Eat right, work out, drink plenty of water and stop injecting toxins into your face, and you will be surprised to find out good you can really look.
None of these people look better after. Not one of them and some of them are advertising this product. I hope to God we stop this practice before our children are grown. While I want them to take pride in their appearance I want them to be smart about it. |
| OP here-some of those photos are hilariously sad. My guess is those people have had LOTS of other work done. I just want a little to help the "I always look tired and bedraggled even when I'm not". |
Get a new hair cut or try a different make up and clothing colors. Our skin tones change as we age and a simple change of color can go a long way. Oh, and most of those people haven't had a lot of work done. Carrot Top, of course, has but his eyebrows are the result of botox. |

Botox is like anything else--done right, it can look good or done poorly it can look like crap. Kate Gosselin and Carrot Top look horrendous. In the pictures posted, I actually think Nicole Kidman and the last woman look fine. I say if you're going to do it, consult with a friend who's willing to be brutually honest and give you an objective opinion about the results.
I've never tried Botox myself but, to me, the good thing is that it isn't permanent. If it doesn't look good on you, the effects only last a few months and you can say never again. |
oh CALM down. why are you even posting here? the thread asks "do you like the results of your botox treatment" it doesnt say "please post your incredibly judgmental, annoying and granola-slanted opinion on something I'm considering" |
| Nicole Kidman doesn't look hideous in a photograph but it is extremely painful to watch her in movies. Actresses need expressions, it's a simple fact, and they can't convey the necessary emotions if their faces are frozen. |
You are the one with your panties in a bunch. The OP asked if people like the results and obviously people who get the procedure don't understand how different they look or how hard it is to talk to someone with the procedure. It's very distracting as faces are meant to move and show emotions. Oh, and you don't have to be "granola" to think injecting poison in your face is a bad idea. |
Ok - so have YOU ever had it? Do you have any personal experience with it? I have, and trust me, you would never know except that I don't look as tired. The trick is to go to a good doctor, and just do one or two areas. All the photos you posted show people who have had major work done, and loads of Botox all over their faces and necks. Getting a little in your forehead, or on your crows feet is not going to freeze your face or make you look like an alien. I for one love the results, and get it maybe once or twice a year. It allows me to use less makeup and I definitely look less haggard and tired. And it does wear off, so if you don't like it, don't get it again. I can recommend Dr. Jennifer Parker Porter in ChCh. |
| I work with lots of people who have botox, and they all look strange. People think they look great because they just look at themselves in the mirror with a static expression and see the absence of wrinkles. Same with photographs. However, it is when these people speak and try to make expressions that they start to look like their face has been coated in lucite. Don't do it! |
As someone said earlier, the problem is it's only the bad botox jobs that stand out to others. Most don't notice a botox job that's done well (e.g. not overdone) other than to think you look great/well-rested. As a result, many people think all botox looks bad. Just because you only notice botox done badly, doesn't mean it's impossible to have it look great. |
| except for carrot top (who i'm sure had WAY more than just botox) I think everyone else looks better! I'm considereing getting the line in between my eyes done. another good thing about botox...its not permanent! |
|
Carrot Top and Kate Gosslin had brow lifts. Actually, Carrot Top's looks more like a complete brown replacement. These photos are not the result of botox, but thanks for trying to spread your granola propaganda.
Frankly, the other photos are fine. The last woman looks much better in her after photo. And to the PP that posted the photos along with her unwanted opinion---go away. That's not what the OP was asking for. Go take your raisin face and crepe paper skin and braid your armpit hair! |
