Do you like the results of your botox treatment?

I'm considering it. I'm 49 and rather thin. I would like to do something about forehead lines and wrinkles under eyes. Would this help?

What? No one wants to share? I'm super curious.

I've had botox done in my forehead and crows feet area for a few years. I've generally been happy with the results. The one time I was not happy was the result of the doctor putting too much in. My forehead was completely frozen. Since I started seeing a different doctor I've been VERY pleased every time. It really makes a huge difference (to me at least) and I think you'd be surprised by how many women do it. A lot just wont admit to it.

I dont know what can be done with the wrinkles under your eyes but it will definitely do wonders for your forehead.

I love it. Ask them to start off with a conservative amount. You can always have more put in a few weeks later or three months later.

Works well for many forehead wrinkles and crows feet. Not sure about under the eyes.

Yes yes yes yes yes yes yes! Although I've done both Botox and Dysport and at least for me, the Dysport lasted longer (my dr said it lasted longer for her too), so I'd say I liked the results of Dysport more than Botox. It's been about 6 months since my last treatment and my forehead wrinkles are creeping back. It reminds me what a difference it made. I will be heading back to the derm soon for another treatment.

I've never had it, but I'm curious (39 with serious crows feet, forehead not too bad). My sister had one line filled between her eyebrows and said she LOVED it. Said she noticed a difference on her whole face .......? I'm debating. Anyone want to recommend a downtown DC derm?

Dale Isaacson, although Dr. Fuchs also gets a lot of good press on DCUM.

They are sticking a needle in your face, so yes, a little. They use numbing creams so it is not at all bad. I was nervous the first time but now have gotten used to it. Probably no worse than your annual flu shot, once you get over the freak out factor that it is your face. I'm kind of squeamish anyway, so other people may say it doesn't even hurt.

it's virtually pain free, can be pricey, you won't want to stop once you start.

It can hurt a little, but nothing you cannot tolerate. Sometimes I bruise at the injection site - I just cover the bruise up with makeup. I always like the results - natural, crease free forehead, which I can stll move. Just choose the doctor based on a recommendation from a few people. I like Dr. Gerrish. He does procedures both in Vienna and Alexandria.

You should take into consideration how many people will mock you and have a good laugh at your expense. So many women swear they look natural and that people don't notice and that's just a load of crap. Really. We notice and we discuss it when you aren't around. We judge your poor choice and your vanity and how much better you would look if you just aged naturally. No one looks good with their eyebrows in a frozen arch in the middle of their forehead. Not to mention the wrinkles you get in odd places because the normal facial expressions can't be achieved. Another point is that people can't always fully understand the tone of a remark without the facial expressions to go with them what you say can and will be lost in translation.

I highly recommend Dr. Olding. He's FABULOUS and located close to 20th/penn.

I've recently started noticing my forehead - but more than that, I have issues with lines around my mouth when I smile. I think they're called parentheses - for obvious reasons. (I'm 42.)

Has anyone treated these with good results? Can you recommend how - and a great doctor? Thank you!!!
