Random question. At what age can kids play Scrabble with you?

They actually have the Hasbro Scrabble for Facebook, but it's just not as good as the Scrabulous version. It's buggy and my competitors always disappear.

I feel your pain. I love Scrabble and DH hates to play it with me. Sigh. My oldest is 9, an excellent reader and speller, but I think she would have a hard time with "real" Scrabble (competitive, trying to maximize points) vs just a fun back and forth spelling game. We have started to play a modified Boggle together, and she likes that, but again, we do it in a more cooperative way. We do it untimed and make words until we (really she) are done. Then we compare word lists to see what were able to make. And even then, I have to hold myself back so I have not found 20 words before she has found 4, because she finds that really disheartening.

But IMO Boggle Jr. and Scrabble Jr. are worthless. I found them at a yard sale and was really glad I only paid $1 each!
