Does anyone know which area fertility clinic is the best for AMA?

15:16 Poster here. I was 41 when I got the BFP at SIRM. I loved the docs there. I also think Dr Gordon is great but he wasn't willing to think out of the box. Dr Corley at SIRM reviewed my cycles over the phone during our free consult. Right away he said that the local docs were using too much menopur which was likely causing my egg quality to decrease. He put me on the estrogen priming protocol and it worked. I loved Dominion (DC#1 from there several years ago) but I love SIRM even more. They are very friendly and the docs are extremely down to earth. I went to the Phillipsburg office. Hope that helps!!

For out of state, you don't necessarily have to stay the full two weeks. Depends on the office, and if you have an RE or a lab that can do some of the monitoring locally for you. You can usually work out something where you drive up a couple of times at the beginning of your cycle and then stay for 5 or 6 days at the end. And since it will fall over weekends, you may not have to miss that much work which was a determining factor for me.

May I ask how much menopur you were on? I am AMA too and I feel like I may have the same problem. I produced a lot of eggs but only 1 made it.

I did an out-of-state cycle and was able to do most of my monitoring remotely. We were only in a hotel for about 5 days around retrieval.

I did as well and was able to do local monitoring through CD5 - then the rest OOT. Ended up being just shy of two weeks because I stimmed slowly - but slow & steady wins the race, right?

15:16 poster here. For my estrogen priming protocol, I did one vial of Menopur, every other day. So I wasn't taking it every day. The docs at SIRM started me at 600 Follistim and only 525 on the day I took Menopur. They reduced the Follistim as the cycle went on. I was only doing 375 Follistim once I got into the cycle. Their theory is you can always reduce the amount of Follistim but its much harder to increase it as its usually too late.

This was the best cycle I ever had - even better than my first DC cycle when I was much younger.
